Rahul Gandhi to visit Punjab soon: Bhupesh Baghel

Chandigarh, August 24, 2026: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is expected to visit Punjab in the last week of August or the first week of September, Punjab Congress in-charge Bhupesh Baghel said after a meeting with him.
The meeting between Baghel and Gandhi focused on the Congress leader’s proposed Punjab visit and the preparations for a special bus tour across the state. According to Baghel, a roadmap for the bus journey was discussed and preparations are being worked out for Gandhi’s visit.
The proposed tour is expected to take Gandhi through different parts of Punjab, with the Congress seeking to strengthen its organisational and political outreach in the state.
