SBI, KGS Foundation join Team hands to make Ferozepur Greener; 5,100 saplings planted

Ferozepur, August 24, 2026: With the objective of promoting environmental conservation and making the city greener and stronger, KGS (Keep Green Society) Team Foundation, organised a large-scale tree plantation drive in the city with the support of the State Bank of India (SBI).
As part of its commitment towards environmental protection and social responsibility, SBI donated 5,100 saplings for the plantation campaign. Earlier, the Foundation had achieved its target of planting 11,111 saplings.
Regional Manager, RBO Ferozepur, Harpreet Singh, along with SBI Ferozepur team members Jagmohan Singh, Dalip Kumar and Balli Badal, participated in the plantation drive and planted saplings, spreading the message of environmental conservation.
The participants appreciated the continued efforts of KGS Foundation founder Kuljit Singh, popularly known as Treeman for promoting environmental protection. The organisation has been working consistently to ensure public participation in strengthening the Sutlej embankment and increasing green cover in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Regional Manager Harpreet Singh said SBI has always played a leading role not only in providing banking services but also in the fields of social welfare and environmental conservation.
He said protecting nature was one of the biggest responsibilities towards future generations and called upon people to come forward and contribute towards increasing the green cover.
“Those who give trees to the earth give life to future generations. Let us plant more and more trees and make the earth greener, cleaner, safer and more prosperous,” he said.
