Sonam Wangchuk discharged from hospital
Heads to Rajghat Before Returning to Ladakh

New Delhi, July 27, 2026: Environmentalist and education reformer Sonam Wangchuk on Monday announced that he has been discharged from Medanta Hospital in Gurugram and will visit Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi before returning to the mountains.
Sharing the update on social media, Wangchuk wrote, "And finally... I'm being discharged from the hospital. Will be going to Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and then back to the mountains."
He also expressed gratitude to those who supported him during his hospital stay and thanked the medical team for their care.
"A big thank you to the wonderful team of doctors and staff at Medanta Hospital Gurgaon," he said.
