Punjab to soon get another airport as Halwara project nears approval: Ravneet Bittu

Ludhiana (Punjab), October 6, 2025: Punjab is set to get another airport, with Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu announcing that the long-awaited Halwara Airport project is now in its final approval stage.
The development promises to fulfill the dream of direct air connectivity for the industrial hub of Ludhiana.
Bittu shared the update through a social media post, expressing joy over the progress. He revealed that a team from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) will soon visit Ludhiana to conduct a building clearance inspection of Halwara Airport.
“After years of hard work and a long wait for the people of Ludhiana, the dream of having an operational airport here is about to come true,” Bittu wrote.
He added that this step marks a significant milestone in improving Ludhiana’s air connectivity and will give a major boost to Punjab’s development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
