Chandigarh, April 10, 2026: Hardeep Singh Mundian on Friday distributed promotion letters to newly elevated revenue officers at a function held at Punjab Bhawan, reiterating the government’s commitment to employee welfare and career advancement.
As many as 14 Tehsildars and 13 Naib Tehsildars were promoted on the basis of seniority. Congratulating them, the minister said the promotions recognise their years of dedicated service in strengthening the revenue administration across Punjab.
Emphasising the government’s approach, Mundian said the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led administration is focused on ensuring timely and transparent promotions. He added that a fair, merit-based system boosts employee morale and enhances the efficiency of public service delivery.
The minister further stated that the promoted officers have been posted near their preferred locations, based on the options they had submitted. This, he said, would help maintain a better work-life balance and improve overall performance.
Inviting suggestions from field-level staff, Mundian stressed that feedback from grassroots officers plays a key role in improving departmental functioning and ensuring responsive governance.
Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner Revenue Anurag Verma also congratulated the officers and expressed confidence in their ability to serve with dedication and professionalism.
Senior officials, including Manvesh Singh Sidhu, along with other department representatives, were present on the occasion.
