Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), June 6, 2026: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Saturday filed his nomination papers as the BJP candidate for the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh at the State Legislative Assembly.
The nomination filing was attended by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, State BJP President Hemant Khandelwal, senior party leaders, ministers, office-bearers and BJP workers from across the state.
The occasion witnessed enthusiastic participation from party leaders and workers, who extended their support and best wishes to Chugh for his parliamentary innings.
Speaking after filing his nomination, Chugh expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nitin Nabin and the party leadership for placing their trust in him.
Describing the nomination as both an honour and a responsibility, Chugh said the BJP's faith in an ordinary party worker reflected the organisation's commitment to recognising dedication and hard work. He also recalled his long association with Madhya Pradesh, where he had earlier served in organisational responsibilities, and termed the opportunity to represent the state in the Rajya Sabha a matter of great pride.
Chugh said he would discharge his parliamentary responsibilities with sincerity and commitment while working in the national interest and upholding the party's ideals. He added that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, India is witnessing rapid progress in development, governance, welfare and self-reliance, and he would strive to contribute to that vision in Parliament.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Hemant Khandelwal and other BJP leaders congratulated Chugh and expressed confidence that his organisational experience and public service record would strengthen both Madhya Pradesh's representation and the BJP's voice in the Rajya Sabha.
