New Delhi, July 1, 2026: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Wednesday retained Amrinder Singh Raja Warring as President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) and Partap Singh Bajwa as the Leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP), reaffirming the party's existing leadership ahead of the Punjab Assembly elections.
The decision was announced by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal as part of a broader organisational restructuring in the Punjab unit, which also included the appointment of chairpersons, co-chairpersons and working presidents for key election-related committees.
By retaining Warring and Bajwa in their respective positions, the Congress has opted for continuity in its top organisational and legislative leadership while strengthening its election machinery for the upcoming polls.
