Transfers Breaking: Eight IAS officers transferred

Chandigarh, July 8, 2026: The Punjab Government on transferred eight IAS officers with immediate effect.

According to the official orders, Neelima (IAS, 2008 batch) has been appointed Secretary, Personnel, and has also been entrusted with the additional charge of Secretary, Vigilance.
Sakshi Sawhney (IAS, 2014 batch) has been posted as Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare. She will continue to serve as Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Punjab, while also taking on the additional responsibility of Nodal Officer for the Anti-Drug Campaign.
Sandeep Rishi (IAS, 2015 batch) has been transferred to the Housing & Urban Development Department as Chief Administrator, Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA).
Parminder Pal Singh (IAS, 2016 batch) has been appointed Special Secretary, Home Affairs.
Neeru Katyal Gupta (IAS, 2016 batch) has been posted as Chief Administrator, Punjab Urban Planning & Development Authority (PUDA) and will also hold the charge of Director, Town & Country Planning.
Among the younger officers, Nikas Kumar (IAS, 2020 batch) has been appointed Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar.
Sonam (IAS, 2023 batch) has been posted as Additional Commissioner, Taxation-I, Patiala, while continuing to serve as Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Patiala.
Meanwhile, Rakesh Kumar Meena (IAS, 2023 batch) has been appointed Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), Hoshiarpur.
