GRP conducts intensive search operation at Rly Station, urges passengers to stay vigilant
Ferozepur, July 25, 2026: As part of heightened security measures to ensure the safety of railway passengers and in view of periodic security inputs, the Government Railway Police (GRP), Ferozepur, conducted a comprehensive search and public awareness drive at Ferozepur Railway Station.
The operation was carried out under the directions of the Senior Officers of the GRP, Patiala. During the drive, GRP personnel thoroughly checked railway platforms, trains, waiting areas, motorcycle parking, railway tracks and suspicious persons to prevent any untoward incident.
According to the GRP, no suspicious person or unattended object was found during the intensive checking operation.
Alongside the search, police personnel also created awareness among passengers, advising them to remain alert while travelling. Commuters were urged to immediately report any suspicious person, unattended luggage or any suspicious object to the nearest GRP Police Station or the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
The GRP said such security checks and awareness campaigns would continue at regular intervals to ensure the safety and security of railway passengers.
