Punjab BJP Chief Kewal Singh Dhillon receives grand welcome in Patiala on first visit after appointment

Patiala (Punjab), July 28, 2026: Newly appointed Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon received a warm welcome from party leaders and workers during his first visit to Patiala after assuming charge as the state party chief.
The reception was led by Punjab BJP Mahila Morcha President Jai Inder Kaur, along with members of the district unit, who welcomed Dhillon with flower garlands amid enthusiastic participation from party workers.
Speaking on the occasion, Jai Inder Kaur said Dhillon’s first visit to Patiala as the state president had infused fresh energy and enthusiasm among BJP workers and office-bearers across the district.
She expressed confidence that under Dhillon’s leadership, the BJP would further strengthen its organisational base in Punjab. Referring to the party’s prospects, Jai Inder Kaur claimed that public support for the BJP is growing across the state and expressed hope that the party would form the government in Punjab after the 2027 Assembly elections.
She also said the BJP would take the Narendra Modi-led Central Government’s development initiatives and public welfare schemes to every household in Punjab.
Jai Inder Kaur thanked Kewal Singh Dhillon, senior party leaders and BJP workers for their participation in the event and reiterated the party’s commitment to expanding its outreach across the state.
