Punjab Congress formally releases suspension order of MLA Madan Lal Jalalpur

Jalandhar (Punjab), August 1, 2026: The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) has formally suspended senior Congress leader and former MLA Madan Lal Jalalpur from the party for a period of three years.
According to the suspension order issued by the PPCC Disciplinary Committee, the action was taken over allegations of anti-party activities and remarks made against the party’s leadership.
The order stated that the disciplinary committee had taken serious note of Jalalpur’s alleged activities and decided to suspend him from the Congress for three years.
During the suspension period, Jalalpur will not be allowed to participate in party activities or hold any organisational position in the Congress.
