Kewal Singh Dhillon unveils new office-bearers, Morcha chiefs and media team to strengthen the party’s organisational structure

Chandigarh, August 2, 2026: Punjab BJP president Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon on Sunday announced a new team of state office-bearers following approval from the party’s national president, Nitin Nabin.
The appointments include 12 state vice presidents, five state general secretaries, 12 state secretaries and office-bearers for key organisational, media, digital and financial responsibilities. The party also named new presidents for its Yuva, Mahila, Kisan, SC and OBC Morchas.

The newly appointed state vice presidents are Surjit Kumar Jyani of Fazilka, Rakesh Rathour of Jalandhar, Subhash Sharma of SAS Nagar, Manjit Singh Rai of Ferozepur, Ashwani Sekhri of Batala, Sushil Rinku of Jalandhar, Geja Ram Valmiki of Fatehgarh Sahib, Tejinder Singh Bittu of Jalandhar, Jasmine Sandhawalia of Kapurthala, Jatinder Mittal of Ludhiana, Ravi Karan Singh Kahlon of Gurdaspur and Ranjit Singh Gill of Mohali.
Anil Sarin of Ludhiana, Rajesh Bagha of Jalandhar, Parminder Singh Brar of Mohali, Rajnish Dhiman of Ludhiana and Jiwan Garg of Sangrur have been appointed as state general secretaries.
The party named Manjit Singh Manna of Amritsar, Mangat Rai Bansal of Mansa, Rakesh Sharma of Pathankot, Suraj Bhardwaj of Amritsar, Vandana Sangwal of Fazilka, Meenu Sethi of Hoshiarpur, Ranjam Kamra of Fazilka, Charanjeet Singh Brar of Fazilka, Kamalpreet Kaur Chaudhary of Jalandhar, Meena Tarnaich of Pathankot, Amarjit Singh Amri of Ludhiana and Ekta Nagpal of Mohali as state secretaries.
For key organisational responsibilities, Gurdev Sharma ‘Debi’ of Ludhiana has been appointed state treasurer, while Sukhwinder Singh Goldy of Mohali will serve as co-treasurer.
Khushwant Rai Giga and Sanjeev Khanna, both from Mohali, have been named state protocol secretaries. Sukhvinder Singh Parmar of Mohali has been appointed state office secretary.
In the party’s digital and social media wings, Kanwar Inderjeet Singh of Mohali has been appointed state IT convener, while Ajay Arora of Amritsar will serve as state social media convener.
The BJP also announced new heads of its various Morchas. Anuj Khosla of Patiala has been appointed president of the BJP Yuva Morcha, while Biba Jai Inder Kaur, also from Patiala, will head the Mahila Morcha.
Lakhwinder Singh of Ferozepur has been appointed president of the Kisan Morcha, Sheetal Angural of Jalandhar will lead the SC Morcha and Shivraj Chudhary of Fazilka has been named president of the OBC Morcha.
The party also strengthened its media and communication wing by appointing S.S. Channi of Mohali as chief spokesperson. Vineet Joshi of Mohali has been named state media head, while Pritpal Singh Baliawal of Ludhiana and Parampal Kaur Sidhu of Bathinda Rural have been appointed state media co-incharges.
Bikramjit Singh Cheema of Khanna has been appointed state cell coordinator. Harwinder Singh Sandhu of Amritsar, Bhanu Partap Singh of Mohali and engineer Kanwarveer Singh Tohra of Fatehgarh Sahib will serve as state cell co-coordinators.
Congratulating the newly appointed office-bearers, Dhillon expressed confidence that the new team would work with discipline and commitment to strengthen the party’s organisational presence across Punjab.
He said the office-bearers would be responsible for expanding the BJP’s outreach, taking the party’s policies and programmes to different sections of society and preparing the organisation for future political and electoral challenges.
