  Jalandhar, August 4, 2026: 20 Pregnant women and 4 infants were evacuated after Gynaecology ward of Civil Hospital Jalandhar caught fire.
  
  According to eyewitnesses, due to excessive heat wires of Air Conditioner caught fire. Soon room was filled with smoke.
  
  Junior Resident Doctors (JRs) immediately informed MS Dr. Namita Ghai and HOD Dr. Barinder and later all pregnant women and infants were evacuated safely.
