BSP to go solo in Punjab, UP and Uttrakhand elections

Chandigarh/Lucknow, August 26, 2026: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) led by Mayawati has decided to go solo in coming Punjab, UP and Uttrakhand elections.
Mayawati has said that her party will contest elections on its own so as to save its vote bank and strengthen the party. She said that there will be no alliance or any sort of electoral pact with Congress, AAP or BJP. She exhorted her cadre to work for unity and strengthening the party at grass root level. She also urged cadre to observe death anniversary of BSP founder Kanshi Ram on October 9th at large scale.
