Breaking: FIR lodged against two DSGMC members over alleged Rs 76 lakh fraud in Phillaur

Phillaur (Punjab), September 4, 2026: A case of alleged fraud has been registered in Punjab’s Phillaur against two members of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) in connection with an alleged ₹76 lakh cheating case involving a promised DDA plot in Wazirabad, Delhi.
According to the allegations, DSGMC members Bhupinder Singh Ginni and Manjit Singh Aulakh allegedly took ₹76 lakh from a resident of Phillaur on the assurance of arranging a DDA plot in Wazirabad, Delhi. However, the complainant allegedly neither received the plot nor got his money back, following which an FIR was registered in Phillaur.
The matter was raised by former DSGMC presidents Paramjit Singh Sarna and Manjit Singh GK, who demanded action against the two members and called for cancellation of their DSGMC membership if the allegations are established.
Sarna and GK also levelled serious allegations against Delhi Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa. They alleged that rice meant for economically weaker sections in Delhi was being sold at twice the prescribed rate. They further claimed that the name of the Delhi Food Supply Minister had figured in a CBI report.
The allegations made by the former DSGMC presidents could not be independently verified from the information available.
