Transfers Breaking: Two IAS/PCS officers transferred

Chandigarh, September 7, 2026: The Punjab Government has ordered the transfer and posting of IAS and PCS officers following approval from the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The Department of Personnel issued the orders with immediate effect, as per a directive issued by Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha.
Pallavi Mishra, IAS (2023 batch), has been transferred from her post as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Amritsar, and appointed Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), Amritsar. She replaces Surinder Singh, PCS.
Surinder Singh, PCS (2012 batch), has been relieved from his position as ADC (Rural Development), Amritsar, and his services have been placed at the disposal of the Department of Local Government. He has been appointed Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, replacing Sandeep Rishi, IAS.
