Alleged Drug Network Busted
California (US), September 8, 2026: A 50-year-old man identified as Kanwalpreet, a native of Punjab, has reportedly been arrested in California in connection with an alleged international drug trafficking operation.
According to the information available, investigators allege that Kanwalpreet operated the drug network while running a pizza restaurant, using the business and delivery operations as a cover for supplying illegal drugs.
A joint operation involving California law enforcement agencies and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reportedly led to the seizure of around 40 kg of cocaine, several pistols and a large amount of cash in US dollars from locations linked to the suspect.
Restaurant Allegedly Used as Cover
Investigators allege that Kanwalpreet had been operating the suspected drug network discreetly for an extended period. His restaurant network and delivery operations were allegedly used to facilitate the distribution of drugs, including cocaine and methamphetamine.
Authorities reportedly suspect that the operation had developed into a substantial supply network, allegedly generating significant illegal proceeds.
The investigation is understood to have focused on tracing the supply and distribution of narcotics and identifying the wider network allegedly connected to the accused.
Could Face Severe Penalties
The accused is also reportedly alleged to have entered the United States illegally. Following his arrest, he could face serious federal criminal charges related to drug trafficking and firearms, depending on the charges ultimately filed by prosecutors.
If convicted on applicable federal charges, he could face a lengthy prison sentence and substantial financial penalties.
