Jasdeep Singh Kamboj scores landslide victory in Ferozepur Bar Association elections
Secures 486 Votes, Defeats Lalita Bhardwaj by 404 Votes; Elected President for Fifth Time
Ferozepur, September 11, 2026: Advocate Jasdeep Singh Kamboj registered a landslide victory in the annual Bar Association elections, securing the post of President for the fifth time. He defeated his rival Lalita Bhardwaj by a massive margin of 404 votes.
Out of a total of 671 eligible voters, 573 votes were polled, while five votes were declared invalid. Jasdeep Singh Kamboj secured 486 votes, whereas Lalita Bhardwaj received 82 votes. Kamboj thus emerged victorious with a huge margin of 404 votes.
Following the declaration of the results, celebrations were witnessed on the Bar Association premises. Supporters and fellow advocates congratulated Kamboj by garlanding him and offering sweets. His supporters described the victory as a reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in him by the members of the Bar.
Jasdeep Singh Kamboj’s election as President of the Bar Association for the fifth time is being seen as a significant achievement, reflecting his long experience and strong rapport with fellow advocates. His impressive tally of 486 votes and the 404-vote winning margin made the victory particularly noteworthy.
After his victory, Jasdeep Singh Kamboj thanked all the advocates for their support and confidence. He said that he would work with complete sincerity and dedication to live up to the trust and expectations placed in him. He assured the members that their interests would remain his priority and that issues concerning advocates would be taken up strongly.
Damanpreet Kaur and Sandeep Bajaj were elected Vice Presidents, Amandeep Kaur as Joint Secretary, and Gursimran Dhillon as Secretary.
Those present on the occasion included Lovjeet Singh Turna, Surinder Singh, Hari Chand Kamboj, Ashwinder Batta, Surinder Singh Josan, Daljit Singh Sandhu, Basant Lal Malhotra, Ashwani Kumar Dhingra, Satnam Pal Kamboj, Karamjit Singh Josan and Pandit Ashwani Kumar, besides a large number of advocates and other prominent persons.
Kamboj’s emphatic victory triggered enthusiasm among his supporters at the Bar premises. Advocates expressed hope that, with his experience, he would further strengthen the Bar Association and work effectively for resolving issues concerning the legal fraternity.
