Chandigarh, September 25, 2026: The Haryana Higher Education Department has extended the deadline for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses for the 2026-27 academic session till October 6, 2026, Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said on Friday.
The extended deadline applies to UG and PG courses in the first, second, third and fourth years at government, government-aided and self-financing colleges across Haryana.
According to the Education Minister, the decision was taken after the department received requests from college principals and students seeking reopening of the admission portal and additional time to complete the process.
The department has accordingly reopened the admission portal and extended the deadline to facilitate students who were unable to complete their admissions within the earlier deadline.
Dhanda said the extension was intended to provide relief to eligible students and ensure that they do not miss out on admission opportunities for the current academic session.
He directed principals of all concerned colleges to ensure that the admission process for eligible students is completed smoothly and within the revised deadline.
