Chandigarh, October 7, 2026: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has claimed that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) found nothing incriminating during its recent raids at multiple locations, including his camp office in Chandigarh.
Reacting to the CBI action, Mann said that nothing illegal or suspicious was recovered during the searches and claimed that the agency had effectively given his government a “clean chit”.

The CBI had conducted searches at eight locations across Punjab and Chandigarh on Tuesday in connection with a corruption case involving Mann’s Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Rajbir Singh Ghuman and five others. The agency has said that laptops, mobile phones and documents were seized during the searches and are being examined as part of the investigation.
The searches followed a Punjab and Haryana High Court order directing the CBI to investigate allegations of corruption and influence-peddling linked to postings, tenders and other government-related matters. The Punjab government has challenged the High Court order in the Supreme Court.
Mann has also alleged that the CBI action is politically motivated and linked to preparations for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections.
