Dera Baba Nanak (Punjab), October 19, 2026: Dr Amandeep Kaur, wife of Jailed Gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, has announced her candidature from the Dera Baba Nanak Assembly constituency as a representative of Bhagwanpuria’s team.
The announcement was made during a public meeting held in Sarfakot village, marking the beginning of her campaign in the constituency.
Amandeep Kaur, who recently arrived from the United States, said she wanted to serve the people of the constituency and work as a sewadar (public servant). She expressed hope that residents would support her and help her win the election.
Several supporters attended the meeting, including Bhagwanpuria’s maternal aunt and Rajwinder Kaur, chairperson of the Dera Baba Nanak Market Committee and District Parishad, according to the information provided.
