Civil Surgeon conducts surprise inspection; issues stern warning to absentee staff
Ferozepur, January 9, 2026: In a major. To streamline healthcare services, Civil Surgeon Ferozepur, Dr Rajeev Parashar, conducted a surprise inspection at the Civil Hospital today. The visit comes immediately after a high-level meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner aimed at improving health infrastructure and service delivery in the district. During the check, Dr Parashar took serious note of absentee staff members and issued a stern warning, stating that negligence in duty would not be tolerated. He emphasised that strict departmental action would be initiated against any employee found absent or derelict in their duties in the future.
The Civil Surgeon personally inspected various sections of the hospital, including the Outpatient Department (OPD), the Mother and Child Ward, the De-addiction Centre, and the pharmacy. Sharing details of the visit, Dr Rajeev Parashar reiterated the state government’s commitment to providing high-quality healthcare to the public. He assured that such inspections would continue regularly to bring about maximum improvement in health centres, ensuring that patients do not face any hardships. Additionally, he directed Senior Medical Officer (SMO) Dr Nikhil to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the hospital premises.
