Bajwa with other MPs attends Kisan Sansad, express solidarity with farmers
New Delhi, August 3, 2021: Senior Congress MP Partap Singh Bajwa along with other MPs attended a session of Kisan Sansad held by Samyukt Kisan Morcha at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday.
He was accompained by Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda, MP Prof. Manoj Kumar Jha (RJD, Bihar), Dr. Amee Yajnik MP Gujarat, Chhaya Verma Congress MP from Chhattisgarh and Jayant Chaudhary former MP, President, RLD), grandson of former Prime Minister and farmer leader Charan Singh.
“We visited the Kisan Sansad to show our solidarity to the farmers who have continuously been protesting for over eight months against the three anti-farmer laws. From day one, we have objected to these laws and want no part in being signatories to the death warrant of kisans in India,” said Partap Singh Bajwa.
He demanded withdrawal of black laws.
“The Government of India must withdraw these black laws. The Union Government’s refusal to withdraw these laws despite the sustained opposition from the farmers is highly condemnable. I will continue to stand with the farmers and lend my voice to theirs both inside and outside the Houses of Parliament just as I have since the ordinances were introduced in June 2020. The concerns of the farmers must be taken seriously and acted upon,” he added.
