BSF organizes Medical Camp in flood-ravaged border villages in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, September 8, 2025: As Punjab continues to reel from catastrophic floods affecting all 23 districts; the Border Security Force (BSF) has stepped up its humanitarian efforts by organizing a special medical camp in the flood-hit border villages of Lakha Singh Wala, HS Wala, J R Hittar, Mamdot, and surrounding areas.
The camp, held at Government Secondary School L S Wala (BOP L S Wala Fwd, 158 BN BSF), was spearheaded by 158 Battalion BSF and aimed at providing essential medical treatment and preventive care to protect residents from waterborne diseases and health complications caused by prolonged rainfall and stagnant floodwaters.
Key personnel involved in the initiative included - B.N. Raut, 2IC (Offg. Commandant), 158 BN BSF, Dr. Azmal A.N., Medical Officer, 158 BN BSF, Dr. Amanpreet Kaur, Civil Doctor, along with her team from CHC Mamdot, and Dr. Raju Chauhan, Senior Medical Officer, Mamdot.
The collaborative effort between BSF personnel and local medical teams brought much-needed relief to the Mamdot region’s vulnerable communities. Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to sustained rehabilitation and urged citizens to actively participate in rebuilding efforts.
This initiative stands as a testament to the power of coordinated response and community resilience in the face of natural disasters.
