To mark Menstrual Hygiene Day, a special awareness session was organised for girl students at Sthanak H.M. C. Senior Secondary School to educate them about menstrual health, hygiene and essential precautions during menstruation.
The programme aimed to create awareness among adolescent girls regarding the importance of maintaining proper hygiene and adopting healthy practices during their menstrual cycle.
On the occasion, teachers Mrs. Pramila, Mrs. Arpana and Mrs. Lubna interacted with the students and provided detailed information on menstrual hygiene, the importance of a balanced diet and personal cleanliness. They also explained various health issues that may arise during menstruation and shared preventive measures to avoid infections and other related problems.
The teachers emphasised that menstruation is a natural biological process and that girls should not feel hesitant or carry misconceptions regarding it. They highlighted the importance of using clean sanitary products, changing them at regular intervals and maintaining a hygienic environment.
The students participated enthusiastically in the session and actively sought answers to their queries. The school administration described such awareness programmes as highly beneficial for promoting the health, confidence and well-being of young girls.
School Principal Ajit Kumar appreciated the efforts of the teachers for successfully organising the programme and encouraged students to adopt a healthy and informed lifestyle.
