Training imparted to Supervisory Staff of four Assembly constituencies under SIR-2026 process
Ferozepur, June 15, 2026:
Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Ferozepur Deepti Shikha Sharma, a district-level training session was organised for supervisory staff of all four Assembly constituencies of Ferozepur district regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 process.
The training was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Additional District Election Officer, at the Meeting Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. Supervisors from the four Assembly constituencies — Zira (75), Ferozepur Urban (76), Ferozepur Rural (77) and Guruharsahai (78) — participated in the session.
During the training, district-level technical teams and master trainers provided detailed information about various activities related to the SIR-2026 process. Election Tehsildar Satinder Singh and district-level master trainers informed that the Election Commission of India has issued a schedule for the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, and all related activities are being carried out smoothly under the direct supervision of the district administration.
They said the main objective of the training was to familiarise the supervisory staff with the guidelines and instructions issued by the Election Commission of India, enabling them to effectively complete the SIR process in a successful and transparent manner.
Election Kanungo Gagandeep Kaur, Election Kanungo Daljit Singh, DMLT Ashish Arora, Tarlochan Singh and Pawan Kumar were also present on the occasion.
