Bathinda, July 22: With the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of electoral rolls entering its decisive stage, around 89,000 electors in Bathinda district have yet to submit their Enumeration Forms, prompting fresh appeals from public representatives and civil society to complete the process before the August 3 deadline.
According to information available, electors who fail to submit their duly filled Enumeration Forms by the prescribed deadline may face the possibility of their names not being included in the draft electoral roll prepared under the ongoing SIR exercise.
Election authorities have urged all remaining voters to cooperate with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and complete the verification process without delay.
Door-to-Door Verification Intensified
The Election Commission has directed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to intensify door-to-door visits to assist electors in filling and submitting Enumeration Forms. Voters can submit their forms through their respective BLOs or other authorized channels notified by the Election Department.
The Special Intensive Revision is aimed at updating electoral rolls by verifying eligible electors and removing duplicate, shifted or otherwise ineligible entries, thereby ensuring a transparent and accurate voter database.
