Sahitya Akademi Secretary Varun Gulati releases Dr Arvinder Singh Bhalla’s new book ‘Manzil Di Kashish: Rahan Di Kasak’

Ludhiana (Punjab), September 2, 2026: Secretary of Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, Varun Gulati released the latest book, Manzil Di Kashish: Rahan Di Kasak, authored by Dr Arvinder Singh Bhalla, Principal of Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar, and noted litterateur.
The book was released at Gulati’s office in New Delhi.
Dr Bhalla, who has authored 25 books in Punjabi and English, has been associated with the fields of education and literature for several years. His writings cover diverse subjects, including education, Sikhism, philosophy and Punjabi prose. His body of work reflects his continued engagement with literature, scholarship and creative writing.
Speaking on the occasion, Varun Gulati said Dr Bhalla’s literary journey was marked by continuity, diversity of subjects and depth of thought. He said Manzil Di Kashish: Rahan Di Kasak presents life, society and human experiences from the author’s distinctive perspective.
Gulati said the book combines the maturity that comes with experience with simplicity of expression. He congratulated Dr Bhalla on the publication and expressed confidence that the book would engage readers and encourage meaningful reflection.
Speaking about the book, Dr Bhalla said writing, for him, was a process of observing and understanding life and giving expression to experiences through words.
“I always try to ensure that my writing is not limited to just being read, but inspires the reader to pause, reflect on their experiences and look at life from a new perspective,” he said.
Explaining the title of the book, Dr Bhalla said the desire to reach a destination motivates a person to move forward, while the experiences, struggles, setbacks and relationships encountered along the way shape an individual’s personality.
He said the true meaning of life lies not merely in achieving one’s goals but also in the understanding and experiences gained during the journey.
Dr Bhalla further observed that the real journey of a book begins after its publication, when it reaches readers and connects with their experiences, emotions and sensibilities.
Expressing gratitude to Varun Gulati for releasing the book, Dr Bhalla described the occasion as a matter of honour and happiness for him. Manzil Di Kashish: Rahan Di Kasak marks another addition to Dr Bhalla’s literary work and explores themes of life, experience and human sensibilities.
Alongside his administrative responsibilities, Dr Bhalla has also remained active in research and academic writing. He has successfully completed two government-funded research projects and is currently working on two more. He has so far published more than 80 research papers and over 150 articles.
His academic and research contributions further underline his engagement with education, literature and knowledge creation.
