Applications invited for compensation against damage to property during Dera violence in Punjab
Ludhiana, August 27, 2017: Complying with the directions of Punjab and Haryana High Court, the district administrations of Ludhiana, Rupnagar, Faridkot and Moga have invited applications for compensation from persons/ institutions whose properties were damaged during the arson and violence by followers of Sirsa Dera in the state in the wake of conviction of their guru in a rape case.
The affected persons can fill performa of claims in available in the offices of concerned Deputy Commissioner and Sub-Divisional Officers (SDMs) and submit the same in these offices within prescribed dates. The claims submitted after the prescribed dates will not be acceptable.
In Ropar, the applicants can submit their duly filled claim forms by 5 pm till August 29. In Moga, the applications can be submitted at the concerned SDMs offices within 7 days, said Deputy Commissioner, Moga Dilraj Singh. For any clarification/information, the claimants can contact at the offices of SDM Moga at telephone number 01636-234277, SDM Baghapurana at 01636-240142, SDM NIhal Singh Wala at 01636-254597 and SDM Dharamkot at 01682-221008.
In Ludhiana, the claimants can submit their applications at Miscellaneous Branch, Room number 8 of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana by 5 pm till August 30.
In Faridkot, the claimants can apply within 7 days at the concerned SDMs offices in the district.
