Jalandhar, August 27, 2017: Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma today said that any resident of the district, who had suffered loss of life/ property during the violence unleashed after pronouncement of judgment against Dera Sacha Sauda Chief, could file claim for the compensation with the district administration till August 29.
In a statement issued here today, the Deputy Commissioner said that any resident of the city who had suffered any such loss could seek compensation by filling the Performa available at the office of the concerned Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of their respective area or at the Deputy Commissioner Office. He said that these claims must be filed till 5pm on August 29, so that process of compensating the victims of violence unleashed after the judgment against Dera Sacha Sauda Chief, could be initiated at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner said that as per the directions of the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court the district administration has also initiated the proceedings to stay sale of properties of Dera Sacha Sauda in the district. Mr. Sharma said that no further alienation in the form of sale or otherwise of property would be allowed on property of Dera Sacha Sauda as a stay order has been put on it as per the directions of Punjab and Haryana High Court. He further said that a red entry has been made on the fards (records) of these properties of Dera in Jalandhar district.
The Deputy Commissioner said that entries would be incorporated in the revenue records of properties so that they could not be sold, transferred, alienated or encumbered in any manner. He said that the detailed reports regarding all the assets of the Dera was being collected by the district administration and it would be sent to the Hon'ble High Court for further compliance. Likewise, Mr. Sharma said that efforts were afoot to trace all the vehicles registered on the name of Dera in the district besides identifying the all the bank accounts on name of Dera along with all the commercial establishments on the name of Dera Sacha Sauda.
