Pilgrimage bus flagged off from Ferozepur Rural for Haridwar-Rishikesh

Ferozepur, September 7, 2026: In a move aimed at respecting the faith and religious sentiments of devotees, the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has initiated a pilgrimage programme to Haridwar and Rishikesh.
As part of the initiative, Ferozepur Rural MLA Rajnish Kumar Dahiya flagged off a bus from village Pyareana for devotees travelling to Haridwar and Rishikesh.
MLA Rajnish Dahiya said that the pilgrims have been provided a two-day and three-night travel arrangement, including meals and hotel accommodation, along with an AC sleeper bus facility.
He said that besides facilitating devotees in visiting religious places, ensuring a comfortable and safe journey remains a priority. He added that transportation, accommodation, food and other necessary facilities are being provided free of cost by the government during the pilgrimage.
Dahiya said that serving devotees, respecting their faith and working for the progress of Punjab remain key commitments of the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He extended his best wishes to all the devotees undertaking the pilgrimage.
On the occasion, village Pyareana Sarpanch Mandeep Singh expressed his special gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and MLA Rajnish Kumar Dahiya for providing devotees an opportunity to undertake free pilgrimage to religious places under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme.
