From Classroom to Camera: DSCW students learn “Art of Travel Vlogging”
Ferozepur, October 9: The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur, organized a workshop on the theme “How to Become a Travel Vlogger.”
Dev Samaj College for Women, an A+ Grade institution accredited by NAAC and affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh, continues to set new benchmarks in the field of education, social and cultural activities under the guidance of Chairperson Dr. Agnese Dhillon, and Principal Dr. Sangeeta.
The objective of the workshop was to introduce students to the fundamentals of travel vlogging, essential skills, and career opportunities in the field. The session began with an overview of the concept of travel vlogging and its growing importance in the tourism and digital media industry.
Head of Department Ranjit Singh Sekhon briefed students on the necessary equipment such as cameras, tripods, microphones, and editing software. He emphasized that beginners can even start vlogging with a smartphone. Participants also learned about content creation, storytelling techniques, choosing the right locations, and engaging with audiences through platforms like YouTube and Instagram.
During the interactive session, students raised questions about monetization, brand collaborations, and starting their own travel vlogging channels. The workshop inspired creativity, innovation, and consistent effort among the students. Many participants expressed interest in exploring travel vlogging as a potential career path.
Principal Dr. Sangeeta appreciated the initiative of the department and praised the efforts of HOD Ranjit Singh Sekhon. She remarked that such activities foster innovative thinking, creativity, and practical knowledge among students.
