Traffic and OHE Block affects 13 Trains: Railway announces reschedule
Ferozepur, October 9, 2025: The Railway authorities have announced temporary changes to train services in the Ferozepur Division due to a Traffic and OHE (Overhead Equipment) Block. The block is required for the pushing of an RCC Box in place of the manned Level Crossing Gate S-70 between Jalandhar Cantt and Chiheru on the Sahnewal–Amritsar section.
Nine trains will be rescheduled by 40 to 90 minutes on various dates between October 12 and October 14, 2025. Notable changes include: Train 22429 (Old Delhi–Pathankot) delayed by 85 minutes on October 14, Train 11057 (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus–Amritsar) delayed by 90 minutes on October 12, and Train 14617 (Purnia Court–Amritsar) delayed by 60 minutes on October 13. Other affected trains include 14673 (Jayangar–Amritsar), 19290 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Dr. Ambedkar Nagar), 22446 (Amritsar–Kanpur Central), 14674 (Amritsar–Jaynagar), 14505 (Amritsar–Nangal Dam), and 12472 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Bandra Terminus).
Train 12497 (New Delhi–Amritsar) will short-terminate at Phagwara on October 14, while Train 12498 (Amritsar–New Delhi) will originate from Phagwara on the same day.
Two trains will operate on alternate routes. Train 22479 (New Delhi–Lohian Khas) on October 14 will be diverted via Ludhiana–Phillaur–Nakodar–Lohian Khas, bypassing Jalandhar City, Kapurthala, and Sultanpur Lodhi. Similarly, Train 19612 (Amritsar–Ajmer) will be diverted via Jalandhar City–Kapurthala–Lohian Khas–Ferozepur Cantt, skipping Phagwara, Jalandhar, Jagraon, Moga, and Talwandi Bhai.
Railway authorities have urged passengers to take note of these temporary changes and plan their travel accordingly.
