2011-batch IAS officer appointed Deputy Director General in Directorate General of Shipping

New Delhi, July 18, 2026: The Central Government has appointed Prashant Jeevan Patil, a 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Telangana cadre, as Deputy Director General (Director level) in the Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai, under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the appointment has been approved by the Competent Authority under the Central Staffing Scheme.
Patil will serve in the post for five years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The Telangana Chief Secretary has been requested to relieve the officer immediately to enable him to take up his new assignment in Mumbai.
