Himachal IAS officer appointed Deputy Secretary, D/o Economic Affairs

New Delhi, July 18, 2026: The Central Government has appointed Nipun Jindal, a 2014-batch IAS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), New Delhi, under the Central Staffing Scheme.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the appointment has been approved by the Competent Authority for a four-year tenure from the date he assumes charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The Himachal Pradesh Government has been directed to relieve Jindal immediately so that he can take up his new assignment in the Department of Economic Affairs.
