Chandigarh, July 18, 2026: Punjab Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Anindita Mitra has congratulated the Dharamkot and Garhshankar Assembly constituencies for achieving 100 per cent digitisation under the ongoing Special Summary Revision (SIR) 2026, completing the milestone 16 days ahead of the deadline for the house-to-house enumeration phase.
Appreciating the achievement, Mitra said the success reflects Punjab's commitment to building a transparent, efficient and digitally empowered electoral system.
She credited the accomplishment to the coordinated efforts of the District Election Officer (DEO), Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and Booth Level Officers (BLOs), whose dedication and teamwork ensured the timely completion of the digitisation process.
The CEO also appealed to voters across the state to participate in the Special Camps being organised on July 19, urging them to verify and update their electoral details as Punjab moves towards completing the house-to-house phase of SIR 2026.
She stressed that active public participation is essential to ensuring an inclusive and error-free electoral roll, adding that the achievements of Dharamkot and Garhshankar have set a benchmark for other constituencies in the state.
