Breaking: BJP Punjab appoints 16 District Presidents; List Inside

Chandigarh, July 18, 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Punjab on Saturday announced the appointment of 16 district presidents as part of its organisational expansion drive aimed at strengthening the party's grassroots network across the state.
The appointments were announced by Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon with the consent of BJP National President Nitin Nabin.
Dhillon said the party is continuously strengthening its organisational structure in Punjab to expand its reach at the grassroots level. He expressed confidence that the newly appointed district presidents would work to strengthen the organisation, connect with all sections of society and effectively promote the policies and programmes of the Narendra Modi-led Central Government.
The newly appointed district presidents are:
- Kanwar Bir Singh Manzil – Amritsar Rural-2 (Majitha)
- Salil Kapoor – Amritsar Urban
- Narinder Garg Neeta – Barnala
- Gaurav Kakkar – Faridkot
- Sukhwinder Singh Kaka Kamboj – Fazilka
- Yogesh Sapra – Hoshiarpur Rural
- Satish Thakur Bawa – Hoshiarpur Urban
- Ashok Sarin Hickey – Jalandhar Urban
- Manmeet Singh Vicky – Jalandhar Rural North
- Jagbir Singh Brar – Jalandhar Rural South
- Chetan Suri – Kapurthala
- Sunil Moudgill – Ludhiana Urban
- Satish Asija – Sri Muktsar Sahib
- Ajay Veer Singh Lalpura – Ropar
- Matinder Singh – Sangrur-1
- Satnam Singh Bhullar – Tarn Taran
Congratulating the newly appointed office-bearers, Dhillon said the BJP remains committed to building a strong, vibrant and people-centric organisation across Punjab. He expressed hope that the new district presidents would discharge their responsibilities with dedication and discipline while preparing the party for upcoming organisational and electoral challenges.
