Railway sets record by loading three NMG rakes in a single day
Ferozepur, October 4, 2026: Firozpur Rail Division of Northern Railway achieved a new milestone by loading a record three NMG (New Modified Goods) rakes in a single day on October 2, 2026, further boosting freight transportation and ensuring faster and smoother cargo handling.
Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Sanjeev Kumar, the division has been taking continuous measures to promote freight movement while ensuring efficient loading and streamlined operations.
All three NMG rakes were loaded for TCI Logistics for transportation of Sonalika tractors. A total of 418 tractors were transported through the three rakes, generating freight revenue of ₹37,36,821 for the division.
The achievement reflects the efficient working, coordination and customer-friendly services of Firozpur Division. The division continues to make efforts to promote freight loading and provide improved and convenient services to its customers.
