Two held with 17 mobiles and motorcycle in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, August 29, 2026: Acting on a tip-off received during checking, Ferozepur Police arrested two persons and claimed to have recovered 17 mobile phones and a motorcycle from their possession.
According to police, information was received that Tinku and Rinku, sons of Darshan and stated to be residents of Guruharsahai, presently residing in the Housing Board area, were allegedly involved in snatching incidents in Ferozepur city and the Cantonment area.
Police further received information that the two suspects were standing near the old FCI godown ahead of the railway station along with a motorcycle and were allegedly in possession of stolen mobile phones. Acting on the information, ASI Jagroop Singh, along with a police team, conducted a raid at the specified location and apprehended both the accused. Police claimed to have recovered 17 mobile phones and a motorcycle from their possession.
Following their arrest, a case has been registered against the accused under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and other applicable laws. Further investigation and legal proceedings are underway, police said.
