Ferozepur Rail Division to revamp 12 stations under Amrit Bharat scheme with ₹270 Cr
Ferozepur, December 1, 2024: Ravneet Singh Bittu, Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries said that 12 Railway stations are being revamped under Amrit Bharat stations in Ferozpur Division of Punjab with a cost of 270 Crores.

The Minister said Jalandhar Cantt Railway station will be dedicated to the public soon. KAVACH installation proposal and Automatic Block Signalling have been initiated in the Ferozpur Division.
Provision of KAVACH on Amritsar-Attari, Beas-tarntaran, Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur, Phillaur-Lohiankhas & Phagwara-Nawanshahr balance route of FZR Division (300 Km) and on Jammu-Udhampur-Katra & Banihal-Baramulla sections of FZR Division (212 Km). Train Collision Avoidance System (KAVACH) is an indigenously developed Automatic Train Protection (ATP) System meant to provide protection to the trains against Signal Passing at Danger (SPAD), excessive speed and collisions.
Further elaborating on the ongoing works of the Firozpur division, Ravneet Singh said that 12 railway stations in Punjab are being re-developed under Amrit Bharat stations with a cost of 270 Crores which include Dhandari Kalan, Phillaur, Phagwara, Kotkapura, Mukatsar, Firozpur cant, Fazilka, Moga, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Gurdaspur and Pathankot City. Manoranjan Kalia, Shri Sushil Rinku, KD Bhandari, Sarbjit Makkar and DRM Firozpur Division Sanjay Sahu were also present at this event.
He told the officials to complete the work in the stipulated time frame with no compromise on quality.
