DC honours Enumerators-Supervisors for early completion of Census-2027-HLOs
Ferozepur, June 3: Deputy Commissioner-cum-Principal Census Officer Ferozepur, Deepshikha Sharma, honoured enumerators and supervisors who were the first to complete the work under the first phase of Census 2027 (House Listing Operations). The felicitation ceremony was held at the District Administrative Complex, where she appreciated the officials and employees for discharging their duties with dedication, sincerity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Sharing details, DC said that the House Listing Operations under the first phase of Census 2027 commenced on May 15, 2026, and will continue until June 13, 2026. She informed that a large number of enumerators and supervisors have been deployed across Ferozepur district to ensure the smooth conduct of the exercise. They are visiting households and collecting the required information through an online portal.
DC appealed to the residents of the district to extend full cooperation in this important government exercise by providing accurate and complete information to the enumerators. She clarified that during the census process, citizens will not be asked to provide Aadhaar details, PAN card information, bank account particulars, or any OTP.
She further informed that all authorised Enumerators have been issued official identity cards bearing QR codes. Citizens can scan these QR codes to verify their identity and credentials and ensure that they are authorised government personnel.
Describing the census as a crucial exercise for national planning and development, the DC urged every citizen to actively contribute by cooperating with the census staff.
Among those present on the occasion were Tarsem Lal, Assistant Research Officer in the Office of the Deputy Economic and Statistical Adviser-cum-Additional District Census Officer, Girish Grover, Investigator, Gurnam Singh, Ankush Vadera, Young Professional, and other officials.
