World Teachers’ Day celebrated with enthusiasm at at Saragarhi Memorial Meritorious School

Ferozepur, October 7, 2025: World Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Saragarhi Memorial Meritorious School, Hakumat Singh Wala, Ferozepur. On this occasion, the school Principal and Deputy District Education Officer, Dr. Satinder Singh, extended his warm greetings to all teachers and students and honoured 35 teachers for their outstanding achievements in various fields.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Singh emphasized the invaluable contribution of teachers in guiding students toward success. He stated that a true teacher acts as a beacon of light in a student’s life — providing proper direction, motivation, and leadership that enable them to achieve great heights of success. He also shared several inspiring examples highlighting the qualities of an ideal teacher and the importance of dedication in shaping young minds.
A major highlight of the celebration was the students’ heartfelt performances, including poems and speeches dedicated to their teachers, which beautifully expressed their love, respect, and gratitude.
In her concluding remarks, Vice Principal Sukirti Sharma expressed her gratitude to all participants and encouraged the teachers to continue their dedicated efforts for the bright and prosperous future of the students and the school.
The event was skillfully compered by Lecturer Sakshi Sehgal, who shed light on the significance of Teachers’ Day and the role of educators in students’ lives.
