Former President Kovind arrives in Kullu; Set to inaugurate Wellness Centre and visit key sites in Himachal
Security tightened in Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti districts ahead of four-day visit

Kullu (Himachal Pradesh), June 7, 2026:Former President of India Ram Nath Kovind arrived in Kullu on Sunday for a multi-day visit to Himachal Pradesh, during which he is scheduled to inaugurate a healthcare facility, attend spiritual events and visit several prominent tourist destinations.
Kovind landed at Bhuntar Airport, where he was received by senior district officials, including Deputy Commissioner Anurag Chandra Sharma. Other dignitaries and administrative officers were also present to welcome the former President.
According to the itinerary, Kovind travelled from Delhi to Bhuntar by air before proceeding to Manali by road. He is scheduled to stay at a resort in Manali during his visit.
On June 8, the former President will inaugurate the Rishi Bhumi Medical Centre and visit the International Sadhana Hall. He is also expected to participate in local programmes and attend the Shiv Maha Aarti at a temple in the evening.
The following day, June 9, Kovind will travel towards Lahaul and visit several key locations, including the Atal Tunnel, the Chandrabhaga river region and Sissu. He is scheduled to return to Manali later in the day.
The former President is expected to depart for Delhi from Bhuntar Airport on June 10.
In view of the high-profile visit, security arrangements have been strengthened across Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti districts. Authorities have issued necessary instructions to concerned departments to ensure smooth conduct of the visit and related events.
