Mumbai, March 27, 2026: The Indian rupee continued its downward trend on Friday, declining by 28 paise in early trade to touch a fresh all-time low of 94.24 against the US dollar. The fall comes close on the heels of a sharp drop in the previous session, when the currency weakened by 29 paise to slip past the 94 mark and settle at 94.05.
Market analysts attribute the sustained pressure on the rupee to ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia, which have unsettled global financial markets and weighed on investor sentiment.
