'Prerna Di Pathshala' initiative launched to promote moral education in Govt Schools

Ferozepur, July 21, 2026: In a significant step towards strengthening value-based education and the holistic development of students, the Ferozepur Education Department has launched a special initiative titled "Prerna Di Pathshala" across all government schools in the district.
The campaign has been initiated under the leadership of District Education Officer (Secondary) Munila Arora, while its concept and implementation framework has been designed by Deputy District Education Officer (Secondary) Dr. Satinder Singh.
Addressing the occasion, DEO Munila Arora said that the true purpose of education is not merely to impart academic knowledge but to nurture responsible citizens with strong moral values, good character and a sense of humanity. She emphasized that in today's fast-changing digital and competitive world, it is essential to instill honesty, tolerance, compassion, social responsibility and ethical behaviour among students.
Sharing details of the initiative, Dr. Satinder Singh said that under "Prerna Di Pathshala," an inspirational article focusing on moral education, life values, personality development, social awareness, discipline and quality education will be shared with all government schools every Wednesday.
School heads and teachers will discuss these articles during morning assemblies, classroom interactions and special educational activities to encourage positive thinking, self-confidence and value-based learning among students.
Dr. Singh said the initiative aims to prepare students not only for academic success but also to face life's challenges with confidence, make informed decisions and understand their responsibilities towards society. He urged school heads, teachers and educationists to actively support the campaign and contribute constructive suggestions for its success.
Among those present on the occasion were Sandeep Kumar (BRC), Sarabjit Singh Bhawra, Gurpreet Singh (BRC), Gurdev Singh (BRC) and Sukhchain Singh.
