Breaking: Haryana Chief Secretary gets six-month extension

Chandigarh, June 30, 2026: The Central Government has approved a six-month extension in service for Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, allowing him to continue in office until December 31, 2026.
This is the second consecutive extension granted to the 1990-batch IAS officer, ensuring continuity in the state’s administrative leadership.
Rastogi, who is currently serving an extended tenure, will now remain at the helm of Haryana’s bureaucracy for another six months following the Centre’s approval.
