Amritsar-Chandigarh Express to get extra AC Chair Car coach from August 2

Ferozepur (Punjab), August 1, 2026: To accommodate more passengers and help reduce waiting lists, the Ferozepur Division of Northern Railway will temporarily attach an additional Air-Conditioned Chair Car coach to the Amritsar-Chandigarh Express from August 2 to October 1, 2026.
The additional coach will be attached to Train No. 14541/14542, increasing the train’s seating capacity and providing more reservation options to passengers travelling between Amritsar and Chandigarh.
The move is expected to ease demand on the busy route and make travel more convenient and comfortable for passengers.
The Ferozepur Division has advised passengers to check the latest reservation status before beginning their journey through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or by calling the Railway Helpline at 139.
“Providing better and hassle-free travel facilities to passengers remains the top priority of the Ferozepur Division,” said Basant Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager.
