Amritsar: BJP leader Akshay Sharma meets ABVP leaders,focus on youth role in nation-building

Amritsar (Punjab), May 2, 2026: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) youth leader from North constituency, Akshay Sharma, held an important meeting with office-bearers and members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at his residence, focusing on organisational strengthening and the role of youth in nation-building.
The meeting was attended by ABVP Organizational Secretary Shamsher Singh Chauhan and Amritsar Organizational Secretary Nitin Maheshwari, along with several youth workers.
Discussions centered on strengthening organisational outreach, engaging young people in constructive nation-building activities, and addressing contemporary social issues. The participants also emphasized guiding students towards positive thinking and nationalist values.
Speaking on the occasion, Akshay Sharma said that youth power is the backbone of the nation and plays a decisive role in shaping its future. He added that ABVP has consistently worked to raise awareness among students and encourage them to contribute to social and national causes.
He further stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, young people are being provided with new opportunities across sectors, and continuous dialogue between youth organisations and students is essential to give society a progressive direction.
Welcoming the ABVP representatives, Sharma highlighted that the guidance and experience of senior members serve as a strong source of inspiration for the youth. The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to work in coordination for organisational growth and social welfare.
