Farmers dedicate 5th days’ protest to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, announce to continue agitation till Oct. 2
Ferozepur, September 28, 2020: The 5th days’ protest against the anti-farmer three Bills passed by the Centre government, was dedicated to Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his 113th Birth anniversary today and announced to continue their agitation till October 2. The protesters also hanged the Bhagat Singh’s poster on the railway track.
The sit-in dharna continued day and night at Basti Tankan Wali railway track in Ferozepur Junction accusing the Modi government. This is the first time a new history has been created with the participation of women in the protest with saffron colour dupattas.
Addressing the huge gathering at the railway track, Satnam Singh Pannu, State President and others announced to continue the protest till October 2 and dedicated the month of October as joint protest.
Demanding the rollback of three Bills, Pannu said, all Punjab MPs and MLAs should resign and Capt may call a special session to pass the resolution to cancel the three Farm Bills besides withdrawing the amendment in APMC Act for allowing the private mandis to operate.
