AAP holds Protest in Ferozepur against BJP over ED action on Minister Sanjeev Arora
BJP’s dream offForming Govt in Punjab will never be fulfilled: AAP Leaders
Ferozepur, May 10, 2026: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday staged a massive protest in Ferozepur against the BJP-led Central Government, alleging misuse of central agencies to target AAP leaders and ministers. The protest was part of statewide demonstrations organised by the party across Punjab following the Enforcement Directorate (ED) action against Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora.
AAP leaders, workers and supporters gathered on the streets and raised slogans against the BJP while holding placards reading “Panjab De Naal Beinsafi Bandh Karo” Protesters also burnt effigies of the BJP-led Centre during the demonstration.
Ferozepur Urban MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar and Ferozepur Rural MLA Rajneesh Dahiya led the protest along with party workers and local leaders. Addressing the gathering, the leaders alleged that the BJP government was trying to intimidate AAP ministers through the ED but asserted that the party would not be cowed down by such tactics.
Speaking to the media, Rajneesh Dahiya said the BJP was misusing investigative agencies for political vendetta and to suppress opposition voices. Ranbir Singh Bhullar also criticised the Centre and said AAP leaders were not afraid of the BJP’s pressure politics and their dream of forming BJP government in Punjab will not be fulfilled.
The protests come a day after the ED arrested Punjab Industries Minister Sanjeev Arora in connection with an alleged GST fraud-linked money laundering case. AAP has termed the action politically motivated and accused the BJP of targeting opposition leaders ahead of upcoming political developments.
Party leader Shaminder and several AAP workers also participated in the protest and reiterated the party’s stand against what they called “political misuse of the ED.”
